Want to Fix Windows 8 Apps Not Launching

Hi, guys i know that many of you people trying out the Windows 8 Developer Preview are noting that they cannot open some of the Metro style full-screen  applications  when clicking on that app’s tile in the start screen. and you get a problem  screen resolution set below the minimum 1024×768 in your  Windows 8.
The cause of this problem is a screen resolution that is set below the minimum screen resolution for Windows 8: 1024×768. This is  especially happen if you’re running in a windowed virtual machine or on a netbook with limited graphics hardware.
The fix  to this error issue was  the resolution to a minimum of 1024 wide and 768 high. As soon as you do that, those apps should start working properly. On some graphics hardware, you might be able to adjust the resolution so a value beyond the native resolution of the device.
So Guys Here is the solution that tell above change the screen resolution. Here's  how can you change screen resolution in windows 8.

Well guys changing the screen resolution in Windows 8 is basically the same as Windows 7.When you go to your desktop screen. Right-Click on desktop screen and then select Screen Resolution option on the list see in image below.

And then as you can see  in the image  below, the Screen Resolution Control Panel Item allows to view or change settings related to all display devices connected to the Windows 8 Computer. In case you do have a projector connected to your desktop or laptop running Windows 8, this Screen Resolution option will allow you to configure and setup your projector or other display devices such as CRT Monitor, LCD Monitor, etc.

View or Change Settings of Display Devices Connected to Windows 8

Apart from controlling Resolution of Display Devices, this Control Panel option allows to view and manage other aspects that control what you actually see on your Windows 8. The Screen Resolution controls the display text and images. Higher the Resolution, better quality of text &  images and lower the screen resolution, size of text, images, videos will appear bigger. The Screen Resolution is controlled with various hardware and software factors such as Resolution Supported by the actual Display Device,  Resolution supported by the internal or external graphics card, installed display drivers and of course your current selection.

And Now back to work change the resolution form the resolution option. and you fix your problem

Note : Guy's if you want to install the Windows Developer Preview, you should check the system requirements. They include the following:
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch
  • To run Metro style Apps, you need a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or greater

Disable the use less Error Reporting In windows

Hi guys if your computer ever has crashing and then it was ask you to send an error report to Microsoft even a  single time, which doesn’t  help you in solving  your computer problem. I personally find the Error Report dialog to be a pain and therefore have disabled it. This is just for sending a report of crashing of software or some other issue like a messed up registry, etc to Microsoft. so it was fully safe to disable it.
There is a Windows Error Reporting (WER) (codenamed Watson) is a crash reporting technology introduced by Microsoft in Windows XP and included in later Windows versions and Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0. Not to be confused with the Dr. Watson debugging tool which left the memory dump on the user’s local machine, Windows Error Reporting collects and offers to send post-error debug information (a memory dump) using the Internet to the developer of an application that crashes or stops responding on a user’s desktop. No data is sent without the user’s consent. When a dump(or other error signature information) reaches the Microsoft server, it is analyzed and a solution is sent back to the user when one is available. Solutions are served using Windows Error Reporting Responses. Windows Error Reporting runs as a Windows service and can optionally be entirely disabled. If Windows Error Reporting itself crashes, then an error reports that the original crashed process cannot be sent at all.

So Lets turn off the error reporting popup box when a program crashes:

1. Right click on My Computer and go to Properties.

2. Next, on the System Properties dialog, click on the Advanced tab.

3. Click on the Error Reporting button at the bottom right. Choose the Disable error reporting option and make sure “But notify me when critical errors occur“.

This ensures that you’ll be notified if something serious happens, but otherwise the daily crash of IE or Word or whatever app is not going to be bothering you with a useless Send to Microsoft popups.

How You Can Fix "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network"

Hi,guys Today we will talking about how you can fix "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network".  well my friend Ashu brought a new linksys wireless router and after setting it up with basic WEP security, he tried to log on from his laptop and was successful !

And when he tried to connect from my desktop computer that has a wireless USB adapter attached to it and I ended with this error message:
Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network
I checked my settings on the wireless router to make sure I didn’t accidentally setup certificate security, but found no such thing. Also, since my friend Ashu was able to connect on her laptop with no problem, it led me to believe it was something wrong with my desktop.

About 30 minutes after trying various settings,I start searching on internet and i found this so Here’s how to connect to your wireless router if you are getting this message.

First, click on the wireless icon in your taskbar and under Related Tasks, choose Change advanced settings.

change advanced settings wireless

Now click on the Wireless Networks tab and select the network in the list at the bottom. Click on Properties once you select the wireless network that is having problems.

wireless network properties

Click on the Authentication tab and now uncheck the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network box. If the box was checked, then that was why you were getting the “unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network” message because Windows is looking for one, but your wireless router is not setup for certificate security.

wireless security

And that’s it! Once I unchecked that box and tried to reconnect to the wireless network, everything worked fine on my desktop computer & Hope this will also works with you !!!!!

If You Get Bored From Windows See These 20 Free Operating Systems

Hi guys, i Wanna tell you that i got bored using the windows operating systems. So i was start search some of the new and not so famous operating systems take a look at some other interesting and yes free  downloadable operating systems. that i found these free and easy to download operating system in the below list i relay like LINUX MINT operating system lets see which one you like ??

Fedora 10 One of the few live distress that didn’t have any trouble with the hardware on my MSI Wind netbook. My acid test: can it properly suspend and wake? Yes – and it does it faster than Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. OpenSUSE and Ubuntu both failed to resume properly.
Damn Small Linux – I wouldn’t feel right not listing Damn Small. It’s pretty amazing what you can do with a whole OS that’s not much bigger than most Windows antivirus applications. 50mb gets you Firefox, XMMS, VNCViewer, MS Office Viewer, and much more. It’s also easily extendable through the MyDSL service or by using the apt command.

Linux Mint - While it’s based on Ubuntu, Mint has some features that I think make it a bit more user-friendly. For starters, there are several easy ways to find and install new software including the dead simple Mint Software Portal. Find an app, click the install button, bada bing!

64 Studio – If you’re into digital content creation of any kind – audio, video, or graphics – 64 Studio is a distro worth downloading. It’s packed full of awesome multimedia apps and, contrary to the name, is available for 32-bit platforms as well.

live.linux-gamers.net - One of the big complaints about Linux is “Where are the games?” If you’d like to see some, why not download a live DVD that contains a truckload that you can run without even installing anything? FPS, racing, platformer, you name it – this disc has it covered.

Slax – This has always been one of my favorite light Linux distros. It’s about 200mb and includes plenty of great apps. It includes a really slick boot option as well: to act as a PXE server, allowing other machines on your LAN to boot Slax over the network.

NimbleX – If you’re looking for a lightweight base to run virtual PCs on, check out NimbleX. It’s the smallest distro I’ve seen that comes with Sun’s Virtual Box. You can even customize your ISO on the web site before you download it if you want. Awesome.

Haiku – Inspired by BeOS, Haiku strives to provide an environment that is simple enough for beginners to use, yet powerful enough for more experienced users to enjoy as well. As they say on their web site, Haiku wants to be “free of unnecessary complexities.” There’s also Zeven OS, a Linux distro with BeOS-inspired visuals.

ReactOS – Definitely an ambitious project, ReactOS is trying to produce a free, non-linux environment that is fully compatible with Windows applications and drivers. It’s got a long way to go, but it’s an interesting project to keep your eye on.

Mac-on-stick – Sure, OSX is pretty and functional, but can it fit on a 32mb flash drive? Mac-on-stick is a complete Mac OS 7.0.1 environment that runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and even Pocket PC. Use it to run old-school apps or classic games like Dark Castle. It’s also part of the Portableapps.Com suite.

OSX86 – No, there’s no link for this one, gang. I’ve included OSX86 (which you can probably find yourself on any major torrent tracker by searching for kalyway) because it’s an amazing example of what an enthusiastic computing community can accomplish. There’s even a customized version floating around that is tailored for the MSI Wind netbook..

NetBSD – If you’re not interested in trying the Hackintosh thing, why not play around with OS X’s foundations? One of the great things about NetBSD is the amazing number of hardware platforms it can run on, including the Playstation 2 and Sega Dreamcast. You may also want to try Jibbed, a lightweight NetBSD livecd spinoff that runs XFCE4.

Open Solaris – The good folks at Sun play a big part in the development of a pretty mean free OS. Open Solaris is incredibly stable and is designed for reliability and network performance. It makes an excellent foundation for NAS devices and servers.

FreeNAS – Speaking of NAS, if you’ve got an old junker around that you’d like to turn into something useful, FreeNAS is a nice option. It’s a barebones distro based on FreeBSD and is designed to turn old hardware into simple network attached storage.

IE Application Compatibility VPC Images – More free stuff from Microsoft? The VPC images include .vhd files of XP and Vista machines that can be run inside Virtual PC to test applications in different Windows OSes with different versions of IE.

VICE – Again not technically an OS, but I’m not sure anyone is really looking to multiboot the Commodore 64 or VIC20 operating systems. The VICE emulator will also run C128, PLUS4, and PET programs.

GeeXboX – Another great use of an outdated machine is to turn it into a media server/HTPC and GeeXboX is an excellent operating system to power it. There’s even an ISO generator that runs on Mac and Windows that you can use to build a customized GeeXboX disc with different themes, languages, network settings, and more.

Untangle – Untangle is a free, open source gateway that is available as both a full-blown OS and a Windows application. The Windows “app” is a nice option if you don’t have the hardware to spare for a standalone gateway machine.

Ultimate Deployment Appliance
– UDA is a slick VMWare appliance that allows you to easily serve ISO images via a PXE environment. I love it. No more griping about badly scratched Vista or XP install discs, I just boot via the LAN interface instead.

gParted – If you’re using a “questionably legal” solution like Hiren’s Boot CD to manage drive partitions, you should give gParted a try. The interface and functionality is very similar to Partition Magic, and gParted is totally free and open source.

So this was the Awesome collection that i found on internet. if you have also please share them in comments !!!!
